Our team of practitioners have been working together for a long time, some for over 12 years. We believe it is important for them to grow professionally, up skill and continue to feel inspired within their role.
Our practitioners are part of our family, they are highly skilled and some are multi-lingual. They are qualified in Childcare Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 & 5 and some have a degree in Childhood Studies and Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT). Our loving and caring approach enables our children to blossom.
Our aim is to provide parents with complete peace of mind, knowing their child is thoroughly looked after in a safe, secure, clean and happy environment. The children are inspired, stimulated, nurtured and above all, loved. The reason our children are so advanced is due to their continual interaction with our staff. We ensure all our little friends are happy and settled as they enjoy busy, fun-filled days learning through play and exploring new, exciting topics.
"Staff are extremely skilled in extending children's learning and language to the highest level through skilful questioning"

Alyson Shannon
Owner of Shannon ChildCare, Alyson Shannon, has always had a real love and affinity for children and it was this passion that helped inspire her to open her first nursery in 2006.
Alyson has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of child development, which is the very backbone of Shannon ChildCare. In July 2011 she attained a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years Childhood Studies and following this, in April 2012 she achieved Early Years Professional Status (EYPS). Alyson has worked as a Link Tutor, Mentor and on The Advisory Board with Middlesex University.
Alyson constantly strives to ensure that Shannon ChildCare has a forward-thinking approach. She personally does all home visits for perspective parents and children who are looking to join our nursery. Alyson understands the struggles some parents face when entering childcare for the first time and puts their minds at ease.
In Alyson’s own words “My practitioners have a ‘sweetness of soul’ and our little friends flourish with the positive, enabling environment we provide. I personally feel creating a ‘home from home’ atmosphere is the best setting for babies, toddlers & pre-school children to develop. Providing security and tender loving care, enables our children to develop and learn from a stable and nurturing environment.”
